8-14-2012 – This page has been updated to the new system. It does not need a Friend’s ID to work. ~The FG
Be sure to read all the instructions thoroughly. There’s further instructions HERE, and a video HERE. If you’re having a problem beyond the help of that – sorry I don’t know what it could be. That is the extent of my limited knowledge. Hopefully, you’ll have no problems.

A “Thank you!” to Teri, Paul, Naomi, Kellie, efc123, Graycloak and everyone else on the forums and elsewhere who have contributed to this article…

After a short rest, we are presented with another set of untimed goals which introduce us to three new spices. Woo hoo!  These spices are not too bad, but a little pricey. Here’s a run down:

(Cash Value is an estimation. What -you- pay depends on what Cafe Cash package you buy and at what discount.)

  1. Quest Buster – Instantly finishes your dish and gives you a quest part that you need. (You shouldn’t need it if you use this website.) 199 Cafe Cash per 100 (approx ~$35 US)
  2. Mastery Maestro – +3 mastery to a dish and Instantly finishes it. 199 Cafe Cash per 100(approx ~$35 US)
  3. Mega Instant Thyme – Quest Buster + Mastery Maestro rolled up in one spice  249 Cafe Cash per 100 (approx ~$40 US)

To give you some contract: 100 units of normal Instant Thyme is 160 Cafe Cash (approx. ~$28 US) and 100 units of 12-hour Thyme is 99 Cafe Cash (approx ~$18 US)

If it’s all the same to you, I will be sticking to normal Instant Thyme, Six and Ones, since they are occasionally giftable. I’m not sure if these new ones are available through the free ways we normally get premium spices. Anyway, I’m curious if you agree, or if these are useful to you. Please let everyone know in the comments below.

Here’s a quick list of the goals, and you can find complete list after the jump.

  1. The only one that looks the most useful would be the Mega Thyme, especially for the marathon goals that you have to master those 1 and 2 day dishes twice… to be able to master it with 1 dish would be worth it rather than using 70+ instant to finish 1 goal… just MHO.

  2. Yea, maybe the mega instant…
but since im a goober who always keeps the mastery genie charged, the spice looks kinda redundant.
i had JUST stopped keeping it charged before they rolled out Tony Moon… lol
But its fairly cheap to keep going…These spices look stupid- and the worst part is the NEW drop down menu- as if it wasnt bad enough- with the SPICE ALL option so terribly available now- the 7 step drop down to throw away dishes is probably the straw that breaks my camels back out of cafe.

  3. Well I will finish the goals to get the mega’s but Honestly I will be using the regular spices (when I do which isnt often) and save those from this quest set for those emergency times when I am up against some time limit and I can see I wont make it without major extreme measures. and Here I rarely hit that point, but it’s nice to have the option.

  4. I find it easier and cheaper to charge up Grand Master Chef ($8) for a week to help with mastering dishes. I rarely use spices unless I ‘m a few dishes shy of reaching a goal. Having those 50% stoves helps out alot. If it wasn’t for YOUR help Facegamer, I would have quit long ago. The requesting and begging that Zynga forces us to do in all their games makes people quit.

Thanks for all your help :)

I thank you for giving the run down on the new spices that helps a lot you guys ROCK!

I got one of the new spices using my game bar so it looks like we might get some free.

  6. I just wanted to say Thank You for the work you put into this site if it was not for this website I would have quit playing a long time ago

    • I agree Stephanie!! I have neighbors but they would never help but now thanks to this site I have breezed through a lot of the goals! A friend told me about the site, I’m glad she did!!

  7. I have gotten 2 (or maybe 3–didn’t look at my inventory) Quest Buster spices as the reward for using the Zynga toolbar, so they are coming in that way. Haven’t seen the other two yet.

I want to thank you so much for this website. I use it often. With the latest craziness of not being able to send part requests, this has been a real time-saver. I have to use Google Chrome (yuck!!) to get parts for catering and the newest gift-wrapping station, but other than that, so glad I can come here to get pieces & parts. ty, ty, tyvm!!!

  9. slow down on the goals a little cant do nothing or let us get more stoves

    hi
    they are not really useful
I get the 3 mastery points by activating the mastery chef 1 week for $8 2weeks 14 or …..
sometimes it is even cheaper to pay the cc in the quest than to use the thyme 2cc per dish.
and of course facgamer is more helpful than you think. So thanks for all the hard work you do

  11. i know this is not the place for my question but would like to know if everyone got the cafe cash award in the account after completing the fall feast quests for few of my freinds did not get it… thought they completed the quest….

  12. I find it cheaper and easier to re charge Grand Master Chef for mastering dishes. I won’t bother with the new spices. I never Pay for something that is not definite. No chances here. I don’t buy grab bags if i don’t know whats in them, and the same goes with mystery crates, boxes, you name it.
I’ve used some of those new Quest buster to help with the quests but got something THEY chose to give me.

If we have the facegamer, we don’t need those new spices.

Thank you … the mega spice is nice to pair up with the master guy and when they offer double mastery points on spicing it doubles as well! so that is 3 for master guy + 3 for mastro mega + 6 if they are doubling! 12 master per …. nice
ALSO the mega mastro spice does send when you get the sending links to work — it’s number is 12. the number after the uid is the one you change … enjoy!
