READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. Here’s a gifter for the new Salad Bar project. This is an alternative way of completing the project, which many people seem to prefer. Especially since as (as of this writing) the normal ask-for way does not work right. The gifter part is towards the middle of this post, after a lot of explanations that I would appreciate you reading. Towards the bottom is some help with the ingredients.. some onions and baby carrots specifically.

Normally, you would have to send “ask for” type requests from inside the game to specific friends and hope and hope some more that you picked the right type of friends that would respond to your request.

Instead, you can use this by linking it to your wall, and asking in general that any available friends send you whatever part you happen to need. This is how I use gifters like this. I link it, ask for whatever part, and remove it from my wall as soon as I get what I need, then repost it, and ask for a different part.. remove it when I get the parts I need.. etc etc.

Alternatively, you can just use this to gift the parts to your friends.

You’ll need 1 Display Case base, 2 Sneeze Guards, 4 Salad Boxes and 2 Salad Tongs.

READ THIS POST CAREFULLY~ This post is to help you with the Cafe World Fry Hard Quests where you build a deep fryer and discover new recipes. This post is mainly to help you gather the items from Fry Hard II on (such as cups of flour and chocolate bars, for example) This will not work for everyone. But if it does, you will be able to collect *some* of the various items that you’ll need to complete the quest.

There are some things that you need to know before you start.  Everyone has a certain amount of “free-floating” gifts that they can accept a day. These free-floating gifts don’t have to come from anyone in particular. Zynga uses them as padding to honor a gift that would have otherwise been rejected by the system. Everyone has between 12-24 of them a day.. the exact number is hard to determine and is dependent on a lot of variables. Let’s just say 12 for simplicity sake.

So keep that in mind as you collect the free items. You probably won’t be able to get everything you’ll need in a single day. I would recommend trying to get as many as you can from your friends.. then coming here to collect a couple more. If you start getting the “Something’s wrong in the kitchen” message.. don’t worry. That just means that you’re out of free-floating gifts for the day. Come back tomorrow and pick up whatever else you’re going to need.  That’s what I’d do, at least. Continue reading »

Yup, I needed another farm game. One that was more challenging, but still familiar. And that’s what I got with FarmVille Chinese! But why is it more challenging? Because I can’t read squiggles! 🙂

Actually, it’s quite interesting to see how Zynga would remake FarmVille if they had the chance to do it again with all the things they learned since the beginning. For one,  it reports a crop’s time until harvest in terms of days, hours, minutes and seconds(!) instead of a stupid percentage like in English FarmVille.

To illustrate my point: Once, my husband looked over my shoulder as I was gaming and asked, “How long is 40% on that crop?”

To which I responded, “Meh?” and shrugged. Continue reading »
